*Width Advisory* Please note this fabric works best on wider collars due to the larger more spaced out pattern. 

This listing is for an adjustable* dog collar in your width, hardware, style, and size of choosing. 

*All collars are made to adjust as much as possible. I try to size collars so your dog's neck is more in the middle of the adjustments, allowing you to have wiggle room both up and down. (Unless you specify your dog is a puppy, then in that case the collar will primarily adjust upwards from the neck size given). Every collar is custom-sized! We don't offer set sizes to ensure the best fitting collar for your dog.

Please don't forget to include your dog's neck size (please view our FAQ page to read how we recommend measuring your dog's neck: thesilverhound.net/pages/FAQs), your hardware color choice (if necessary), and any other special requests you may have. Also, please mention if your dog is a young puppy and still growing, and I will make the collar start at about their current neck size and adjust up more than down.

Make sure you specify what color hardware you want if you select a plastic buckle; our color options are listed below. (Breakaway buckles are always a black plastic buckle paired with your choice of silver or brass/gold hardware.)

  • 3/4" and 1" wide plastic come in all the colors pictured below
  • 1.5" wide plastic only comes in black, white, pink, red, brown, navy, & tan.
  • 2" plastic ONLY comes in black.

Due to the amount of options we offer, we had to move our martingale/limited slip with a buckle option. This is an ADD-ON item.) - NOT recommended for small dogs or growing puppies.

Collar Details: All of our collars are made with 100% cotton fabric (unless specified otherwise) that is then pre-washed and dried prior to construction. The fabric fully encases a polypropylene webbing, which gives the collar its strength. We stitch all our collars with dual-duty polyester thread multiple times at all stress points. We've been making our collars this way since 2014. 

Collar Care: I personally toss my collar in the washer on cold and lay it flat to dry or hang it outside on a nice day (not in direct sun - this can cause fading)! If you have a collar with a lot of metal hardware, it's recommended to place the collar in a garment bag (or tie it inside a pillowcase). If your collar seems wrinkled, you can very carefully and quickly go over it with an iron on a low-medium setting (being very careful to avoid the hardware, especially if it's plastic). This is to be done carefully, as you don't want to melt or warp the interior webbing!
 
Recycling Program: While we aim to build our collars to last, cotton fabric is not the strongest and simply just does not last forever. If you have a collar that is starting to show signs of aging or you find you just don't like the fabric anymore (whatever your reason may be), but you notice the hardware is still usable, we do offer a recycling program! Simply send back your old, beat-up collar and receive a discount on a replacement collar. Due to highly customized nature of our collars we simply can not offer free returns or exchanges unless a mistake has been made on my end. However, if a mistake has been made on your end, or you're simply not happy with your order please reach out to me so we can try to get something worked out, I'm always willing to work with you to get you the collar you hoped for!
